Our group has specific experience in the handling of products in the consumer goods industry. Types of products handled include "raw" frozen product, baked goods, dairy products, chocolates, pre-packaged pouched products, as well as many others. Specific examples include loading of frozen pastry into a wrapper, loading of frozen meat/fish/chicken into plastic trays, kitting of assorted chocolates into variety pack trays, kitting of pouched products into multi-component trays, and loading of cheese into a vacuum sealing machine. Typically, solutions for these applications include vision guidance and high-speed robotic pick and place.
